Book Consultation
How can I enrol in the L2 Early Years Practitioner course?

To enrol, you must already be working in an Early Years setting. Your employer contacts us and completes a few forms to get everything in place. We then send a self-registration link so you can add your details to our e-portfolio, followed by an onboarding meeting with you, your employer and our team to confirm everything is correct and expectations are clear.

When can I start the course?

Our Early Years courses can be started at any time.

Are there any requirements for this Apprenticeship?

Yes: you'll need to be working in an Early Years setting to meet work experience requirements for ages 0–5, a letter from your employer confirming placement hours, to be 16 or over, and an enhanced DBS check. There's no formal entry requirement, though a minimum of Level 1 literacy and numeracy (or equivalent) is recommended.

What career options are available with this qualification?

Our learners have gone on to become Nursery Practitioners, Room Assistants, Childminding Assistants, Nannies and Early Years Workers, and Nursery Nurses.

What if I don't have an English and maths qualification?

You'll have the opportunity to study Functional Skills English and Maths alongside the course. This isn't a requirement, though we recommend English since it's counted in EYFS staff:child ratios; Maths is not an EYFS requirement.

How long does the course take?

The course typically takes 8–12 months, though this can fluctuate.

What will I be expected to do day-to-day?

The course runs alongside your everyday job, with some outside learning expected in your personal time, as this is an L2 equivalent to GCSEs.
